Job Description:
• Maintain a significant caseload focused on: 601a waivers, Consular processing, Adjustment of Status (AOS), T visas, VAWA RFEs and complex follow-up filings
• Serve as the first supervisory layer for attorneys handling similar case types
• Review legal work at designated points
• Coach attorneys on case theory, evidence strategy, and writing quality
• Answer day-to-day legal questions and guide judgment calls
• Identify quality or performance issues early and address them directly
• Enforce the Legal Director's standards within your practice area
• Act as the first escalation point for complex or higher-risk issues
• Ensure legal work within the practice area is consistent in strategy and presentation
• Work closely with the Legal Director by providing feedback on attorney performance and training needs
Requirements:
• Active U.S. law license in good standing
• Strong experience in family-based and humanitarian immigration, including: 601a waivers, Consular processing, Adjustment of Status, T visas, VAWA RFEs
• Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload independently
• Prior experience mentoring or supervising other attorneys (formal or informal)
• Strong legal writing, issue-spotting, and judgment
• Comfort giving feedback and enforcing standards
• Experience training or onboarding junior attorneys
• Familiarity with high-volume immigration practice environments
