Duties

• Transcribe audio or video content into written format in both languages
• Collaborate with project teams to understand context and specific translation requirements
• Maintain glossaries, style guides, and translation memories for consistency across projects
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to clarify translation nuances or technical terminology
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a bilingual Japanese linguist or translator with a strong portfolio of translation projects
• Excellent command of both Japanese and English languages, including grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions
• Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and professionally
• Demonstrated proofreading, interpretation, and transcription abilities
• Knowledge of linguistics principles and translation best practices
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
• Experience with translation software tools (e.g., CAT tools) is a plus
