Investment Analyst – Owner-Facing Decks & Financial Due Diligence (Project-Based)
Overview
We are a lean, family-office style investor, investing our own capital into profitable, founder-led businesses. We are looking for an investment analyst to support live transactions by building clear, owner-facing presentation decks and performing practical financial due diligence.
This role is heavily focused on PowerPoint, turning P&Ls and supporting information into clear, professional materials that can be shared directly with business owners and management teams.
This is a project-based, on-call role, activated during live deals.

Core Responsibilities
• Build owner-facing PowerPoint decks to support discussions with founders and management
• Review P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules
• Perform practical financial due diligence, including:
• Trend analysis and normalization considerations
• Margin and cost structure analysis
• Identification of key risks, add-backs, and questions
• Translate financial findings into clear, simple slides (not technical reports)
• Review CIMs, IMs, and management-provided information
• Support preparation for owner meetings and follow-up discussions
• Iterate quickly based on feedback from the investment team

Must-Have Skills (In Order of Importance)
1. Exceptional PowerPoint skills
• Clean, professional, owner-appropriate presentation style
• Ability to explain financial concepts simply and clearly
• Strong slide structuring and storytelling skills
2. Financial due diligence experience
• Experience reviewing P&Ls and operating data
• Ability to identify issues, trends, and areas for follow-up
• Comfort working with imperfect or incomplete information
