Key Responsibilities: Driving Innovation through Data Science

• Research and develop novel evaluation methods to enhance the quality of Apple user-facing products, collaborating closely with evaluation and experimentation engineering teams to translate your methodological developments into practical technologies.
• Work with complex, large-scale data sets to solve non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods and techniques as needed to drive insights and inform product decisions.
• Design and implement comprehensive analysis pipelines and visualizations to provide actionable insights at scale, leveraging data from multiple sources, including human annotation data.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of product data structures and metrics, advocating for changes and improvements where necessary to support product development and optimization.
• Partner with product engineering teams to inform the development of core machine learning algorithms and user experience evaluations, ensuring that data-driven insights drive product decisions.

Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Expertise We're Looking For

• A Master's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field, with a strong foundation in statistical data analysis and A/B testing.
• Experience with using Foundation Models for data science, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning foundational models for specific tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences, from data scientists and engineers to business partners.
• Strong programming skills, including proficiency in SQL and Python scripting language for data processing and development, with the ability to translate ideas and methods into code and dashboards.
