Respiratory Health Association (RHA) is dedicated to creating a world without lung cancer, asthma, or COPD. They are seeking a Graphic Designer to lead design efforts, collaborating with an experienced marketing team to create materials that align with the organization's brand and communications strategy.
Responsibilities
- Create and design various materials for print, digital, and video collateral including ads, newsletters, program materials, fact sheets, invitations, t-shirt designs, event signage, social media graphics, etc
- Ensure projects are completed with high quality, on schedule, and adhere to the RHA Brand Guide standards
- Work with internal stakeholders in other departments at all stages of design process to ensure project meets expectations and stays on track
- Establish creative direction for each project that applies existing brand guidelines
- Work with Marketing Director to establish brand guidelines for new brands and rebranding projects
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Perform retouching and manipulation of images and source stock photography for projects as needed
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies
- Create animation and video content for web and social media
Skills
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years' experience working in an office or professional setting
- Be an independent worker, with the ability to ideate and bring big ideas to life on their own
- Proven graphic design experience
- A strong portfolio showing a breadth of experience across mediums
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and be able to multi-task on several concurrent initiatives, all while meeting deadlines
