Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for users seeking technical assistance, providing timely and effective support to resolve technical issues
- Learning how users experience technology through investigation, documentation, and categorization of interactions, with a focus on trends and contact reasoning
- Prioritizing and managing technical issues, triaging and researching bugs, and participating in incident and outage management workflows
- Developing and sustaining robust documentation to create a positive knowledge base experience, and escalating issues to appropriate partner groups as needed
- Recognizing and connecting patterns in how users experience technology across 1st and 3rd party technologies, and composing bug reports when necessary
- Recommending and implementing experience improvements, making feature requests, and bringing to attention opportunities to create self-service solutions and productivity enhancements
- Identifying and linking ZenDesk tickets that show a pattern of behavior or user friction, curating the stories of the patterns, and maintaining the health of the User Experience Jira space
- Ensuring that our users interact with us at the highest quality technical support partnership, while engaging in our organization's strategy to learn from user experience
- Actively participating and contributing to efforts designed to improve how users experience both technology and support at Netflix, and engaging and working with our global team as part of an overall user journey experience team
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot, research, and diagnose complicated technical issues, utilizing available systems and tools
- A robust documentation mindset, with the ability to translate information into knowledge-base articles and/or user stories
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with users through various ingestion points and communication platforms, including direct (virtual) interaction with stakeholders
- Able to proactively seek out opportunities to improve our user experiences, and deliver cohesive ideas around innovative support strategies and application design considerations
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to listen, seek to understand, and support others
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a technical support role, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
- Experience with incident and outage management workflows, and bug tracking systems
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, and experience working with 1st and 3rd party technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
