Key Responsibilities

• Guide the learning process toward achievement of district-approved curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
• Communicate objectives to students and prepare for classes assigned, showing written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media to cater to different learning styles.
• Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Strive to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• ISBE PEL with Bilingual Teacher - Arabic certification, required.
• ISBE PEL with Elementary Education Ed (Self-Contained Gen Ed) or junior high content area endorsement, preferred.
• ISBE PEL with ELL, preferred.
• K-8 Teaching experience, preferred.
