About the Role

The Student Success Coach position at arenaflex is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students. As a coach, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and guidance to a group of assigned students, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and reach their full potential. This role involves working from the comfort of your own home office, with a set schedule during our hours of operation, which include Monday to Thursday from 8am to 7pm CDT and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 5pm CDT. Key Responsibilities

• Provide enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a high-quality learning experience for our students.
• Manage a caseload of assigned students, coaching each individual through their degree program via proactive and timely outreach.
• Offer daily and weekly support to students, encouraging and motivating them as they develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success.
• Create a trusted and supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests.
• Teach students how to effectively utilize available resources to maximize their success and provide guidance on resume building and career development.
• Become a certified resume reviewer, providing expert support and guidance to students in this area.
• Act as a liaison between students and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and support.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). Additionally, you should have at least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. A strong understanding of academic policies and procedures, as well as the ability to quickly learn technical skills, is also essential. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner, are critical for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
• Familiarity with student information systems and other educational software.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and student development principles.
• Experience with resume building and career development.
• Certification as a Professional Resume Writer or willingness to obtain certification.
