About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Support enrollment, student development, and retention services, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students.
- Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program through proactive and timely outreach.
- Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success.
- Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests.
- Offer guidance on how to utilize available resources to maximize student success, including teaching students how to effectively use these resources.
- Become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support, empowering students to achieve their career goals.
- Act as a liaison for students, connecting them with various departments and ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent).
- At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling.
- Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, with the ability to learn technical skills quickly.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively.
- Familiarity with student information systems and other education-related software.
- Certification as a resume writer or career coach, or willingness to obtain certification through our paid program.
