**Job Summary**
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant in our Smyrna, GA location, you will play a critical role in supporting the care and treatment of patients with complex medical conditions. You will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls and faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. Your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills will enable you to provide top-notch customer service and support to patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
* Make outbound calls and fax physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders
* Work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals and maintaining accurate records
* Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care and treatment
* Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations
**Requirements**
* 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
* Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
* High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in pharmacy software systems
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Specialty pharmacy experience
* Call center experience
* Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
