The Opportunity

As a Special Education Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs. You will be responsible for:

Following and teaching lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
Instructing based on subject and grade-specific curriculum
Monitoring and assessing student achievements and outcomes
Exercising classroom and behavior management skills
Sharing your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to meet the following requirements:

Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
Complete a Background Check for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)
Complete a Background Check for the Colorado Department of Education (to receive your Substitute Authorization; you will not be reimbursed for the cost)
