As a Solutions Architect in our People Technology team, you'll work closely with senior leaders to design and implement solutions that meet the HR needs of DoorDash. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving business growth and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions that support People Technology and Analytics capabilities.
- Analyze complex business problems and transform them into actionable solutions, driving process improvements and innovation.
- Document system and reporting requirements, and design solutions to build operational excellence with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and execute testing plans and rollout strategies with global impact.
- Ensure data integrity by understanding and identifying opportunities for improvement, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and internal partners throughout the implementation cycle.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams of current and future systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest People Technology advancements and industry trends, driving innovation and process improvement.
- Lead the identification and implementation of new opportunities for automation, self-service, and process improvement.
- Drive the design process, including leading technical presentations and demos.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience as a program/item director or solutions architect in a technical team, preferably in the People space.
- A BA/BS degree in quantitative, business, or related technical fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of People data, including security and other regulatory considerations.
- Proficiency working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and complex data pipelines connecting multiple systems.
- Experience with People Technology systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) to solve business problems.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks, with a keen eye for process improvement and scalability.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, with a passion for developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving measurable impact.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experience can give you a competitive edge:
- Working knowledge of AWS, Databricks, and similar technologies.
- Experience with data analytics tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
