Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring seamless operations, and providing exceptional support to our team. Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry and Management: Key driver payments upon receipt of notification from the payroll department, and enter all adjustments needed to maintain proper customer balances.
- Payment Processing: Check printed edits to ensure payment batches balance, and confirm batches are logged, dated, and filed in the proper place and date order.
- Customer List Maintenance: Maintain a complete and accurate computer-printed customer list, and key changes in customer status, such as charge to cash, cash to charge, address changes, and minor changes.
- Cash Receipt Log: Follow-up on the cash receipt log to ensure it is accurate and distributed to the proper personnel.
- Timely Keying: Ensure all keying is completed within 24 hours after receipt of all documents.
- Account Reconciliation: Log the A/R Daily Proof Book with totals from A/R transaction ledger and route collections.
- Month-End Processing: Enter all data on the last working day prior to the end of the month to verify all data is entered and calculated on the statement.
- Additional Duties: Perform and assist in other duties as deemed necessary by the Credit Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in a remote or office setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Communication: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounting Knowledge: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Data Entry Software: Experience with data entry software and systems, such as accounting software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
