Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing information and assistance to Maryland residents seeking health insurance coverage. You will work in a remote call center environment, receiving a high volume of calls and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced customer service professional to join our team and make a real difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options to Maryland residents.
- Update customer and account information as needed, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
- Utilize multiple database applications as resources to provide the best solution to customers seeking assistance.
- Be open to feedback for continuous improvement and growth, and strive to meet performance metrics for continued professional growth opportunities.
- Respond to general customer inquiries, and provide solutions to customer problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college attendance/degree preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Minimum 1 year of call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, with knowledge of health insurance policy and terminology.
- Computer proficiency, with experience using multiple computer applications and database systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact well with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible, reliable, and available for occasional overtime as needed.
- Must be able to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests.
