Position Overview
We're seeking a dynamic and versatile Experienced YouTube Creator and Video Editor to join our team. As a key member of our content creation team, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and editing high-quality video content for our YouTube channel. If you're a creative problem-solver with a passion for storytelling, engaging audiences, and staying ahead of the curve in digital media, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute creative video ideas for our YouTube channel, aligning with our brand identity and target audience.
- Write YouTube descriptions for video projects, ensuring clarity and coherence in messaging.
- Film, edit, and produce video content using industry-standard equipment and software, maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in digital media, YouTube algorithms, and audience preferences, applying insights to optimize content strategy.
- Manage and grow our YouTube channel, implementing best practices for audience engagement, SEO, and monetization.
- Edit audio files, including podcast episodes, interviews, and voiceovers, to enhance sound quality and clarity.
- Ensure that all video and audio content meet deadlines and aligns with brand guidelines and standards.
- Monitor analytics and performance metrics for video content, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a unique blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and business acumen. Here are the essential qualifications:
- Proven experience as a YouTube creator and video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your content creation and editing skills.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, as well as audio editing software like Adobe Audition or Audacity.
- A keen eye for detail and aesthetics, coupled with a deep understanding of visual and auditory storytelling principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of YouTube best practices, SEO techniques, and content monetization strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in film production, media studies, communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of Asana team collaboration software (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of Zoho Cliq (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we're looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Experience with cloud-based video editing software and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of web development principles and HTML/CSS coding.
- Experience with social media management and content scheduling tools.
- Ability to create engaging captions, subtitles, and closed captions for video content.
- Experience with podcast editing and production.
