Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Full Stack Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you'll play a vital role in delivering patient-centric care and exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Assisting pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of accurate patient records.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting patients, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Developing strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Operating pharmacy systems, including entering patient and drug information, and processing prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assisting with the management of pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of prescription medications.
- Participating in ongoing education and training programs to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.
- Collaborating with other pharmacy team members to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- Previous experience working in a retail or healthcare setting.
- Previous experience working with Walgreens or a similar pharmacy organization.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and software.
- Knowledge of inventory management and control procedures.
- Previous experience with pharmacy technician certification or registration.
