Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio files from legal projects with precision and clarity, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Deliver high-quality transcripts with excellent grammar and punctuation, meeting the highest standards of legal transcription

Essential Qualifications
- 1+ years of transcription experience, preferably in legal transcription, with a proven track record of accuracy and quality
- Strong typing skills with a speed of at least 70 wpm and 99% accuracy, demonstrating proficiency in transcription software and technology
- Excellent command of English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new developments and best practices
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using transcription software such as FTR Player or Express Scribe, with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies
- Access to professional transcription equipment, including high-quality headphones or speakers and antivirus software, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment
- Willingness to work as an independent contractor (1099), with a commitment to flexibility and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in legal transcription, with a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Certification in legal transcription, such as CLT or CTR, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and excellence
- Experience working with court reporting agencies, attorneys, law firms, or other legal professionals, with a strong understanding of the legal industry and its requirements
