About the Role: Customer Service Representative - Work from Home

We're seeking a talented and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our remote team based in Austin, TX. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of Marriott International, providing top-notch support to our guests across various brands. You'll work from the comfort of your own home, enjoying a flexible work arrangement that allows you to balance your work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests across various Marriott brands, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle incoming contacts through voice, email, and chat channels, processing reservation requests, and supporting basic loyalty and customer care requests.
• Identify guest reservation needs and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for special booking rules and requests.
• Assist customers with their booking needs, providing guidance on property facilities, services, and room accommodations.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, adhering to company standards for communication, confidentiality, and data security.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, Marriott properties, and third-party partners.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, contributing to the continuous improvement of our customer service operations.

Essential Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using technology, including email, chat, and voice systems.
• A reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 3 Mbps and upload speed of 1 Mbps.
• A dedicated workspace that is safe, secure, and free from distractions.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, loyalty programs, and customer care principles.
• Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment.

Training and Schedule:

Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in this role. The training class is scheduled to start on January 20, 2025, and will run for 5 weeks, from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM CT. After completing training, you'll work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays, from 4:30 pm to 1:00 am CT.
