Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at Sycamore Life Sciences, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the best possible service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Meeting weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead generation, follow-up, and sales goals
- Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, or online chat, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
- Processing orders, handling complaints, and managing shipments, cancellations, and other customer queries
- Maintaining strict customer standards and confidentiality
- Working closely with customers to understand their needs, creating solutions, and ensuring a smooth sales process
- Collaborating with vendors to ensure ordered products are in stock, lead times are acceptable, and tracking information is provided promptly
- Keeping accurate records of customer interactions, contacts, and account updates in our Hubspot CRM system
- Conducting cost-benefit and needs analysis to meet customer requirements
- Working hand-in-hand with the sales team to create and review quotes, ensuring products meet customer needs and company margin expectations
- Preparing and submitting weekly sales reports to management
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline
- Experience in Genomics Research, Cell Biology Research, Proteomics, or Analytical Chemistry (a significant advantage)
- At least 2 years of experience in eCommerce, call center, or technical support (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in a professional working environment
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage your time effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
