About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers daily and providing them with an exceptional shopping experience. Your key responsibilities will include greeting customers, operating the register, making purchase suggestions, and working with our food program. You will also be responsible for maintaining our high standards for store appearance, ensuring that our store is always clean, organized, and well-stocked. With a focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will work closely with our fun and motivated team to accomplish daily tasks and achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with fast and friendly service
- Operate the register, process transactions, and handle customer payments
- Make purchase suggestions and recommendations to customers
- Work with our food program, preparing and serving food and beverages to customers
- Maintain our high standards for store appearance, ensuring that the store is always clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Work effectively as part of a team to accomplish daily tasks and achieve our goals
- Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends

Essential Qualifications:
To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide fast and friendly service to our customers
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a register
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, with frequent lifting, carrying, and bending
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:
- Retail and customer service experience, with a strong understanding of the retail industry and our customers' needs
- Sales associate or cashiering experience, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and driving sales growth
- Motivation to advance in your career, with a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Willingness to learn and have fun, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude that aligns with our company culture
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, with frequent lifting, carrying, and bending
- Lifting and/or carrying up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead, up to 30 minutes in a shift
- Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
- Pushing and/or pulling with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
- Bending at the waist with some twisting, up to one hour a shift
- Grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects with hands, with eye-hand coordination and the ability to climb a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs
