Key Responsibilities
As a Children's Fitness Instructor and Pretend Dinosaur at The Little Gym of Sea Girt, NJ, you will be responsible for:
- Leading Parent/Child, Pre-K, and Grade School classes in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that promote physical activity, social interaction, and cognitive development
- Using our proprietary 3-Dimensional learning approach to instill a love for learning and promote progressive motor-skill development
- Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere that encourages children to develop at their own pace
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and team members through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all classes and activities
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve our programs and services
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A sincere love of children and a passion for early childhood education and development
- A background in fitness, athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field
- Experience working with children, such as preschool teaching or assisting, daycare, sports camps, or similar experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to children, parents, and team members
- A high energy level, friendly and positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends, with a flexible schedule to accommodate our class schedules
- A clean background check and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children and staff
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a children's fitness or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- First aid and CPR certification
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
