Job Overview
As a Call Center Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that require attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling patient medication requests, resolving third-party anomalies, and providing support to pharmacists across different locations. You will work under direct supervision, adhering to company policies and guidelines to ensure the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new patient enrollments by accurately entering data into the appropriate systems using blithequark's prescription data entry methodology and guideline processes.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing, investigating to obtain missing prescription information and interpreting clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and handle communication to patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
- Settle third-party anomalies by assessing, gathering information, creating claims, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements, making phone calls to providers and others to obtain information or override approval.
- Provide assistance to pharmacists both in-office and in other locations, identifying and communicating issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful as a Call Center Representative at blithequark, you must possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic level PC skills, including the ability to start up and shut down a PC, use a mouse, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and access information online.
- Basic browser skills, such as opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a webpage, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Intermediate level keyboarding skills with a minimum speed of 25 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly preferred for the Call Center Representative role at blithequark:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail or call center environment.
- A minimum of one and a half years as a pharmacy professional with a certification/licensure by the state as granted by the State Board for Pharmacies or a widely recognized certification agency.
- Experience providing customer care to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills with a minimum speed of 35 WPM.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
