About the Role: Co-op, Airport Customer Service (ACS) Ground Safety Ergonomics, Health and Wellness
As a Co-op student in Ergonomics, Health and Wellness within our Airport Customer Service division at blithequark, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our frontline operations. Key Responsibilities
- Fostering a Safety-Conscious Culture: Provide support, training, accountability, and recognition to ensure safety is a core value across our operations.
- Injury Risk Reduction: Support the development and implementation of strategies aimed at reducing employee injuries and aircraft damages, focusing on ergonomic improvements and health and wellness initiatives.
- Technology and Project Support: Assist in the development of large-scale technology initiatives related to ergonomics, ensuring effective project management and implementation.
- Ergonomic Investigations: Lead and assist in ergonomic-related investigations across the system, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI to analyze injury and behavior data, drawing actionable recommendations and supporting safety improvement initiatives.
- Effective Communication: Support the communications strategy for various stakeholder groups, providing regular updates on project status, and collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
- Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of existing health and wellness and ergonomics programs, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with company goals.
- Safety Practices: Demonstrate safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures, setting a positive example for peers.
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Aerospace/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Occupational/Industrial Safety, or Biomechanics/Kinesiology.
- Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills, with the ability to practice safety-conscious behavior.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Capability to learn, interpret, and follow various laws, rules, and regulations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with minimal supervision.
- A strong history of collaboration and teamwork.
- Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States.
