Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Lebanon, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to excel in the classroom and make a positive impact on the lives of your students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of subjects to students of different ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of your students
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
• Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced educational setting

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references with one by a previous direct supervisor
• NJ Substitute Credential
• Background check & TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and putting students first
• An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Previous teaching experience, particularly in a substitute teaching role
• Special education experience or training
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
