Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our team in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll be responsible for:
- Assisting the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
- Communicating daily with families regarding student progress or needs to encourage partnership and support.
- Encouraging parent and community engagement by developing strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Maintaining a high-quality standard of care for every child by adhering to all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards.
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks for children.
- Utilizing and adhering to assigned classroom's daily schedule, incorporating our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment.
- Assisting with keeping daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies.
- Contributing to the center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement.
Requirements

- A High School Diploma or GED.
- To pass the state-required criminal background check.

- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
