Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school or need an at-home or flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual spans across three states, Arizona, Indiana, and Texas, with new states introduced each year.

Overview
Stellar Virtual seeks a passionate and certified Performing Arts Elementary Teacher to join our team. This remote position will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in Performing Arts to students in grades K-5 through our virtual learning platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of their subject matter, excellent communication and technology skills, and a passion for fostering a creative and supportive online learning environment. Responsibilities include curriculum implementation, assessment, individualized support, and collaboration to ensure student success.
Essential Duties
- Deliver engaging and interactive live virtual lessons aligned with the Texas State Standards for Elementary Education.
- Utilize a variety of online teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to cater to the diverse learning styles and developmental needs of young learners.
- Develop and deliver asynchronous learning activities, including interactive assignments, projects, and virtual manipulatives.
- Provide clear, timely, and age-appropriate feedback on student work to promote understanding and growth.
- Facilitate small group instruction and provide individualized support to students based on their learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive online classroom community that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Implement the Stellar Virtual elective curriculum effectively and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs and skill levels.
- Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning, artistic/musical growth, and understanding of concepts.
- Analyze student data to identify learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists and other teachers to enhance the curriculum.
- Support on-site testing events periodically throughout the year (required).
- Participate in virtual professional development and collaborate with colleagues on online teaching best practices.
- Work collaboratively with student support services (e.g., counselors, special education) to address student needs.
- Attend virtual staff meetings and contribute to the overall success of Stellar Virtual.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience, preferably in Performing Arts.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching a range of elementary-level Theater courses.
- Experience in utilizing online learning platforms and educational technology tools relevant to Art instruction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
- Passion for working with students and fostering their artistic or musical growth and appreciation.
- Residency in the state of Texas is required.
Education & Certification Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Education, Theater or a related field.
- A valid Texas teaching license with an endorsement in Theater (K-6, K-12 or equivalent).
