About the Role
As a Director of Product Management at MyFitnessPal, you will be responsible for building products that make a meaningful impact on our customers' lives and drive business success for our enterprise partners. You'll lead a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of growth, inclusion, and collaboration. Your expertise will shape the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring we're delivering high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team of Product Managers, responsible for developing and iterating on MyFitnessPal's enterprise and customer-facing products.
- Develop and mentor product management talent, creating a thriving culture that promotes career growth and a strong sense of inclusion and belonging.
- Own and develop the product strategy and roadmap, communicating commitments and updates to partners and stakeholders.
- Drive the performance of the team's product experiences, measuring impact on the business and our customers.
- Meet or exceed critical business metrics (KPIs) and consistently execute against quarterly and annual goals, communicating progress and impediments to senior leaders.
- Champion the product operating model, leveraging qualitative and quantitative tools to discover valuable solutions for customers and the business.
- Contribute to MyFitnessPal's product vision, strategy, and roadmap, driving both short-term and long-term impact.
- Embody our core values in all aspects of your work, promoting a culture of kindness, good health, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of leading teams to deliver impactful products.
- A clear record of collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Design, Analytics, and Marketing.
- Experience leading high-velocity teams that drive measurable impact on customers and the business.
- A strong background in the product operating model, with expertise in validating hypotheses through testing and experimentation.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and make trade-offs between long-term investments and short-term wins.
- Experience leading consumer-facing product development work, with a focus on native iOS and Android apps.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with a bias towards action and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Experience working on SaaS products, with a deep understanding of the software as a service model.
- A background in developing products in the health, wellness, or exercise space, with a passion for improving people's lives through technology.
