Primary Purpose

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll serve as the primary liaison between our customers and the company, facilitating sales, resolving account or service issues, and providing product information to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. Your role will be critical in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers, driving business growth, and contributing to the achievement of company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with customers daily to prepare quotes, perform data entry, and follow up on customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Handle customer complaints in a professional and timely manner, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Train and mentor other Customer Service Representatives on daily activities, including RFQs and proper formatting.
• Process strategic quotes for RFQs, working directly with Product Managers, Buyers, Account Managers, and other stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments, including Shipping, Planning, Engineering, and Quality.
• Coordinate large spreadsheets and LTA's as required, supporting the Customer Support team.
• Prepare quotes for customers, including pricing and delivery, and coordinate with necessary departments to obtain pricing or resolve delivery issues.
• Accept orders from customers, book orders to applicable locations, and coordinate adding item masters for part numbers as required.
• Perform proper Contract Review and follow all Sales Procedures as required.
• Maintain organized sales files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Handle initial rejected parts or paperwork from customers, coordinating with the Quality Department and issuing RMAs when necessary.
• Work with blithequark Credit on past due invoices or short pays, performing necessary research to resolve issues.
• Develop knowledge of blithequark Fastening Systems products, including conversions, substitutions, and competitor products.
• Visit assigned customers with coordination from Account Managers and Team Leaders.
• Understand customer terms and conditions, long-term agreements, and contract language.
• Train co-workers and mentor less-senior employees, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Support other department team members in a backup role as required.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in customer service/sales, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• 50+ Words per Minute.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with distributor accounts and specifics regarding distributor agreements and procedures.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States, with verification of employment eligibility required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with blithequark systems, including COP, CPQ, and GCS.
• Experience in the aerospace or transportation industries.
• Knowledge of export-controlled items and ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
