Travel Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse | Burlington, North Carolina

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Telemetry and Medical-Surgical skills to provide high-quality care in a dynamic inpatient setting. This travel assignment is located in Burlington, NC, offering a rewarding work environment that focuses on specialized stroke (neuro) patient care within a diverse patient population presenting multiple co-morbidities. Schedule and Hours: • 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend and holidays as needed • Float required between multiple healthcare facilities within the network Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological diagnoses and multiple co-morbidities • Perform remote and unit-based telemetry monitoring • Manage feeding tubes and provide care for vascular access devices including ports, PICC lines, and central/peripheral lines • Administer blood products safely and accurately • Deliver wound care and manage wound vacs while adhering to isolation precautions • Maintain appropriate patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 to ensure optimal care quality Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum two years of RN experience with telemetry and med-surg nursing expertise • Competency in remote and bedside telemetry monitoring • Experience with feeding tube care, vascular access, and blood administration • Current BLS certification and NIH certification required • EPIC electronic health record proficiency • Familiarity with CVA patient care and nasal cannula oxygen delivery • Ability to manage fluctuating patient acuity and float between units as needed • Willingness to comply with facility requirements including passing a mandatory EKG exam Location Highlights: Burlington, NC, combines small-town charm with access to regional amenities and healthcare resources.
