As a Manager Territory Sales you will develop and maintain branded customer relations within the greater Houston territory. You can help achieve this goal if you can: Develop productive working relationships with both existing and new customers, market pricing strategies, inventory management procedures, and branded program understanding and territory participation. Observe competitive activities; new investments, promotions, pricing. Seek out and analyze new customers and market expansion opportunities. Develop an understanding of the market factors affecting the profitability of branded marketing. Gather and communicate market intelligence to branded pricing functions, through frequent contact with customers, industry counterparts, and industry information sources. Become knowledgeable concerning the physical and operational characteristics of the Valero products distribution system. Develop an understanding of the market factors affecting the profitability of branded marketing and keeps informed of market intelligence and industry trends through frequent contact with customers, industry counterparts and industry information sources. Evaluate any applicable capital/investment opportunities-upgrades, replacements, maintenance needs. Perform special projects as assigned. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. 10+ years of experience in refining and/or petroleum sales or relevant experience in sales or marketing to include brand management/construction, trading, or scheduling required. 3+ years of experience in oil and gas or retail fuels sales required. Able and willing to travel about 25% of time to manage and support assigned territory activity required. Able and willing to live within the greater Houston area to support assigned territory required. Able and willing to support assigned territory sales operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays, as needed, required. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
