About the position GCI's Supply Chain Specialists II plays a crucial role in supporting various functions within the Supply Chain, including procurement, inventory control, provisioning, logistics, requisitions, and distribution. The position is responsible for maintaining supply chain channels to optimize inventory levels and reduce processing time, ensuring efficient operations across multiple departments. Responsibilities • Create, modify, and add services to accounts based on customer specifications and internal direction. • Provision hardware, test, validate, and verify proper working order on various devices including complex routers and cloud-voice equipment. • Maintain asset management databases and control procedures. • Perform quality control inspections and status classifications of returned inventory. • Assist in device troubleshooting and perform system health checks. • Monitor, research, and correct integration issues between NC and Oracle systems. • Maintain, process, and mail company inventory to customers. • Coordinate logistics for timely asset replenishment. • Provide management with asset and inventory management statistics. • Process returns and exchanges for warranty repair. • Facilitate statewide asset and inventory management programs. • Perform inventory counts and reconciliations. • Provide financial analysis of inventory, revenues, expenses, and costs of goods sold. • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts for device ordering needs. • Complete administrative functions for accurate reporting and documentation. • Assist in courier duties and warehouse shipping logistics. Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of two (2) years of general work experience. • A combination of relevant work experience and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the job may substitute for the required years. Nice-to-haves • Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Computer Science, or related field. • Demonstrated proficiency in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or procurement. • Prior experience in a technical customer service environment. • Telecommunications experience. • Other telecom industry or job-specific certifications.
