Spatial Records Technician

The Spatial Records Technician will support ENMAX’s GIS system by managing records, data, and workflows related to construction projects and electrical assets. Responsibilities Modify, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of databases specifically related to ENMAX electrical system assets Interpret and integrate relevant data from multiple sources, ex. maps, engineering drawings Prepare GIS cartographic products Create and maintain operational reporting functions of business unit data Collaborate with other business units on the timely deliverable of utility construction information to EPC Operations Collaborate with operational business units, IT and external companies on the development/enhancement of information management tools and workflows with a focus on automation Utilize multiple software tools for information searches / analysis about ENMAX electric system assets including Geospatial Information System (GIS) and Asset Management system. (Maximo), Enterprise Records Management system (Infolink) Consult with team members, business partners and management on various initiatives and requirements gathering Skills Degree or diploma in GIS, Geography or closely related field Minimum 1 year experience with ESRI software (ArcGIS suite and its extensions) Ability to perform GIS data conversion/edition, map production, spatial data management and spatial analysis Experience in the electric utility industry is an asset Experience with Schneider Electric's ArcFM software is considered an asset Experience working with CAD Data is considered an asset Must be legal to work in Canada and requires the successful completion of a criminal background check Two pieces of valid Government issued ID will be required Two professional references will be requested Education requirements for this position will be verified by a third party Benefits Comprehensive flexible benefits program Free onsite fitness facility Onsite massage Onsite child care centre (upon availability, offered from our ENMAX Place location 141 – 50 Ave. SE) Free parking Company Overview ENMAX makes, moves, and sells electricity to residential, small business and large commercial customers.
