SEO & Content Associate - US

Rise at Seven is a Search-First Content Marketing Agency looking for a graduate/entry level SEO & Content Associate to join their team in New York. The role involves writing and optimizing SEO-led content, conducting keyword research, and tracking SEO performance while collaborating with various teams to enhance content strategies. Responsibilities Write, optimize and publish SEO-led content (blogs, guides, landing pages, FAQs) Implement SEO briefs, including keywords, angles, page structure and internal linking Refresh and repurpose existing content across the website and wider channels Support on-page optimisations aligned to technical and off-page activity Conduct keyword research using tools such as GSC, Ahrefs and Semrush Map keywords to appropriate content types and business objectives Identify growth opportunities through content, keyword targeting and gap analysis Support content audits and content gap analysis alongside the content team Track and monitor SEO performance including rankings, impressions, clicks and engagement Produce regular reports, insights and presentations for internal teams and clients Support monthly performance reviews and explain what’s working and why Analyse SERPs and competitors to assess content quality, depth, format and media use Carry out link gap, link intersect and internal linking analysis Support off-page SEO activity including broken link fixes and outreach Assist with technical SEO audits and analysis Spot and flag issues such as broken links, indexing errors and site structure problems Support technical, content and Digital PR efforts working together cohesively Work closely with SEO, Strategy and Content teams across multiple clients Support SEO leads with client communications, updates and reporting Prepare weekly status updates and monthly client reports Keep up to date with SEO trends, platform changes and best practices Ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met Skills Up to 1 year of experience in an SEO or content-focused role (including internships, placements, side projects or personal websites) Some understanding of technical, on page, off-page & content SEO tactics Experience in an agency or already working on your own blog or websites Good ability to story tell and pull out the right stats/data to back up your points Strong knowledge of Google apps (Slides, Sheets, Docs, Drives etc) Business writing skills and ability to produce reports Content writing skills for the web Benefits Generous holiday scheme Your Birthday off Christmas and New Year office shut down Rapid development if you’re up for the challenge Regular socials Access to a private medical scheme Enhanced maternity and paternity leave schemes Flexible and hybrid working Bucket list scheme - an opportunity to experience a life dream!
