We're seeking a skilled and experienced Jockey Driver to join our collaborative team and drive success in our operations. About the Role As a Remote Jockey Driver, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of trailers to and from dock doors, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This 100% remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, while being an integral part of our team. Key Duties and Responsibilities Move trailers to and from dock doors based on instructions from supervisors or the shipping office, while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure the cleanliness and adequate fueling of trailers, and perform daily inspections on spotter truck and equipment. Check/set trailer and yard temperature, add fuel if needed, and report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles and/or equipment. Maintain logs of trailer movements and fuel, and communicate with appropriate departments on daily movements of trailers. Check trailer inventory and report any irregularities on log forms, and perform sanitation duties on trailers as assigned. Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 6 months of experience operating tractor trailers and/or heavy equipment. The ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics. The physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility. A flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
