[Remote] Intake Attorney: Employment & Complex Litigation

They are seeking an Intake Attorney to manage the front end of their litigation pipeline, making critical decisions about which cases to accept or reject based on specific criteria. Responsibilities • Own the Intake Funnel • Review written intake submissions (high volume) • Identify cases that meet the firm’s standards • Reject the vast majority of matters quickly and decisively • Escalate only fact-complete, viable matters • Apply the Firm’s Intake Bible • Follow a structured, tiered intake system • Ensure discrimination and retaliation claims contain specific, concrete facts • Request supplemental written information when appropriate • Reject matters that remain vague or unsupported • Front-Load Investigation (Before Engagement) • Gather documents and factual detail before engagement letters are issued • Engagement & Rejection Authority • Decide which matters receive engagement letters • Handle rejection calls and communications professionally and firmly • Set realistic expectations with accepted clients • Protect the firm from weak, speculative, or time-draining cases • Coordinate with Operations (Not Litigation) • Work within Clio Grow / Clio Manage workflows • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on intake metrics and process integrity • Maintain clean, complete intake records for accepted cases Skills • Licensed attorney in good standing (U.S.) • Strong judgment and independence • Comfortable saying 'no' — often • Excellent written communication skills • Ability to assess facts quickly and spot fatal weaknesses • Organized, disciplined, and process-oriented • Emotionally steady when dealing with upset or disappointed callers • Experience in employment law, civil litigation, or civil rights • Experience reviewing high-volume intakes or case screening • Comfort working with structured rules and checklists • No ego about 'trying cases' — this is a gatekeeping role • Ability to operate without hand-holding Benefits • Generous healthcare benefits for you and your family. • Performance-based bonuses tied to intake quality (not volume) • Long-term stability in a highly structured role Company Overview • Pollard PLLC is a law firm located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida and focused on competition law.
