About the Role We're seeking a skilled and experienced Principal MLOps Engineer to join our AI innovation unit, with a focus on building systems and applications that interact with AI models in a cloud-native (Azure) environment. As a principal engineer, you'll offer technical leadership, mentor other team members, and play an instrumental role in fostering innovation and delivering high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex, high-performance, and scalable MLOps systems that interact with AI models and systems. Cooperate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, AI researchers, and AI/ML engineers, to understand requirements, define project boundaries, and ensure alignment with business goals. Offer technical leadership and expertise in choosing, evaluating, and implementing software technologies, tools, and frameworks in a cloud-native (Azure + AML) environment. Troubleshoot and resolve intricate software problems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability when interfacing with AI/ML systems. Participate in software development project planning and estimation, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely solution delivery. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and user manuals. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: A minimum of 6 years of experience in machine learning software development, with at least 2 years in a senior or principal role. Profound understanding of machine learning concepts, technologies, and integration techniques. Strong knowledge of programming languages commonly used in AI/ML, such as Python, R, or C++. Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Experience with Azure cloud platform, machine learning services, and best practices. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree completed in Computer Science or a related field. 8+ years of relatable work experience. What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary: $122,800 - $271,400 per year, plus bonus eligible.
