Description Want to work on frontier, world class, AI-powered experiences for health customers and health providers? The Health Science & Analytics group in Amazon's Health Store & Technology organization is looking for a clinical technologist to push the frontier of AI solutions for our customers and providers. In this role, the clinical technologist will work closely with AI scientists, engineers, product leaders, and clinicians to develop and ensure the safety of our AI systems. This individual will also shape our thinking on how to embed AI solutions into workflows. Key job responsibilities Partner with applied scientists and engineering teams to ensure that we are embedding appropriate medical knowledge in our AI capabilities. Develop rubrics and guidelines for AI model system evaluation and benchmarking. Partner with teams across the health organization to ensure safe deployment of AI systems and technology into workflows. Continue to raise clinical safety awareness of our technical systems, including AI systems. Proactively identify risks and shape the technical roadmap in anticipation of industry trends in Health AI. Basic Qualifications MD or PhD with hands-on clinical and medical research experience. 5-10 years experience with software development lifecycle through combination of product development, hands-on software development, or implementation of novel technology in clinical or administrative workflows. Working familiarity of AI and ML concepts. Prior experience in either consumer or provider health tech. Preferred Qualifications MS/PhD degree in quantitative discipline, machine learning, software development, or related field. Medical specialization in primary care. The base pay for this position ranges from $170,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $294,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
