PBM Pharmacy Technician (Remote) Texas-Based (CST)

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. We are hiring remote pharmacy technicians to support a growing PBM/Utilization Management team. This role is perfect for pharmacy technicians who enjoy working behind the scenesreviewing prior authorizations, resolving payer issues, and ensuring timely medication access for patients. PBM or prior authorization experience is highly preferred. Position Type: Contract (13 weeks, with potential to convert to permanent) Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST Location Preference: Must reside in Texas (or another Central Time Zone state) What Youll Do: • Review and process prior authorization (PA) forms • Work with insurance payers to help facilitate prescription approvals • Troubleshoot coverage issues and answer drug-related benefit questions • Coordinate medication fulfillment with pharmacies • Participate in building and refining processes in a fast-moving, startup environment Ideal Candidate Profile: • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas (must be licensed in your state of residence) • Strong knowledge of third-party billing, insurance benefits, and prior authorizations • Previous PBM experience strongly preferred • Tech-savvy with excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills • Adaptable and comfortable navigating a changing work environment Work-from-Home Requirements: • Reliable, high-speed internet • Dedicated workspace that ensures HIPAA compliance (door must be closable) • This is a full-time remote role candidates must be fully focused during working hours (no childcare coverage during work time) • All equipment (laptop, headset, keyboard) will be provided Texas-based pharmacy techs with strong PA or PBM backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
