Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Passenger Service Agent - "Red Coat," you will be an integral part of our customer service team, responsible for ensuring that our customers have a smooth and pleasant travel experience. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, handling passenger inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise during their journey. Key Responsibilities: Proactively greet customers, assess their needs, and provide directions to Delta's available technology alternatives. Positively impact customers' use of airport technology to ensure a better, faster, and friendlier airport experience. Display a positive image of Delta Air Lines, adhering to uniform compliance and maintaining professionalism at all times. Keep customers informed while ensuring service delivery, and efficiently coordinate and monitor all aspects of the operation. Handle irregular operations, such as flight delays or cancellations, and provide solutions to customers. Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Identify and seek out our most valued customers, assisting them with all their travel needs, and continually developing positive relationships. Coordinate and monitor all aspects of customer service, including ticketing, reissues, reservations, and being visible for all customers. What You Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be proficient in English. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend detailed job instructions. Must have strong listening and communication skills. Possess basic computer skills. Frequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds. Occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds. Occasionally support in aircraft cabin cleaning duties. Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data. Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking, and styles. Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority. Ability to work overtime and in weekend/public holidays when required. Willing to travel interstate and overseas for meetings, trainings, as well as supporting other stations. Must be eligible to live and work in New Zealand at the time of your application.
