Description:
• Serve as a subject matter expert and as a resource for physicians and medical directors.
• Navigate the complexities of a large corporation to help take advantage of all available resources.
• Mentor medical directors.
• Participate in Peer Review/Governing Body when needed.
• Drive clinical outcomes, such as Clinical Leaderboard, Dashboard and DaVita Quality Index (DQI) results.
• Provide teammate and physician education.
• Actively support the admissions process and be directly involved in medical director admission denials.
• Assist with development and execution of clinical initiatives.
Requirements:
• The optimal employed Group Medical Director (GMD) has been a practicing nephrologist with experience as a dialysis medical director.
• The GMD should meet all of the requirements of DaVita employment, including but not limited to regular compliance, HIPAA, and other workplace training.
• Must adhere to the values of DaVita.
