BJC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tele ICU Staff Nurse to join our telemedicine team, based in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch critical care and support remotely, using advanced telecommunication tools to monitor and manage patient care in intensive care units across our network. The Tele ICU Staff Nurse will actively participate in clinical, administrative, and educational activities, maintaining the high standard of care expected at BJC Healthcare. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise in critical care, strong communication skills, and proficiency in using technology to deliver virtual healthcare services.
Monitor patient conditions continuously using telehealth technologies and respond to alerts generated by remote monitoring software.
Assess critical care needs of patients and provide direct instructions to bedside ICU staff accordingly.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with remote and onsite teams to develop patient care plans.
Document patient data thoroughly in electronic health records.
Educate ICU teams and families about patient status, treatment plans, and overall care management.
Stay updated with advancements in telehealth and critical care.
Proficiency with telehealth platforms and patient management software
