Our client, a global consumer goods firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Business Analyst to support their Merchandise Systems team. As a Business Analyst, you will act as a liaison between the business and IT, providing critical support in system documentation, administration, and testing. About the Role
The Supply Chain Business Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the stability and accuracy of the Merchandise system, supporting Merchandising, MP&I, and Ecommerce teams. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing primary user support and administration to business partners through business requirements, documentation, enhancements, and implementation.
- Ensuring proper functionality, data, and results for Merchandising, MP&I, and Ecommerce teams.
- Defining system settings to ensure accurate system performance, troubleshooting, and solving issues in collaboration with IT and other Merch Ops centers of excellence.
- Managing the administration of the Merchandise system, including reviewing and implementing changes in system parameters and formats.
- Coordinating and/or modifying system parameters, improvements, and/or enhancements.
- Addressing daily work tickets for the Master Data team, resolving issues, or escalating them to the appropriate team member.
- Implementing consistent processes and resolutions for daily work tickets while adhering to SLA.
- Assisting the Master Data team to ensure correct, consistent, and complete Master Data that adheres to enterprise data governance fundamentals.
- Participating in UAT and troubleshooting of various systems, including SAP and PIM.
Key Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of direct work experience in business analysis, process improvement, or best practices.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent, or previous work experience.
- Working knowledge of Merchandising, Ecommerce, Omni-Channel, and Supply Chain systems and processes.
- The ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines while using analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The capability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proficient in collaboration and a strong sense of accountability.
- The ability to work cross-functionally with IT to assist in the translation of technical concepts into non-technical terms.
- A demonstrated ability to take complex thoughts or ideas and simplify them for business or technical partners.
- A retail business background with strong process and systems acumen.
- Expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
- Applied knowledge of applications development methodologies (SDLC).
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with SAP (S4 would be a plus).
- Experience with PIM/PXM systems.
