Software Development Engineer (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. Summary We are seeking a talented technical professional to join a dynamic team supporting critical business operations across cutting-edge artificial intelligence initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, where you will design and build end-to-end solutions that integrate first-party and third-party systems to enable seamless data flow and workflow automation. You will work independently through the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to building, testing, launching, and continuously improving solutions that help scale key business activities. The majority of your time will be spent heads-down developing innovative technical solutions, with occasional collaboration to align on requirements and next steps. Job Responsibilities • Design and build end-to-end solutions that integrate first-party systems with third-party applications and tools • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable technical specifications • Develop, test, deploy, and provide ongoing support for automation tools and integration solutions • Configure and maintain integrations between third-party tooling and web-based applications with existing enterprise systems • Create reporting solutions that pull third-party data into PowerBI and Excel to support workflow automation • Execute test cases for automation scripts, report issues, and troubleshoot to ensure reliability and accuracy • Modify and optimize existing databases and database management systems as needed • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance solution performance and scalability after launch • Coordinate with project teams to determine scope, limitations, and timelines for database development projects • Support business operations and strategic initiatives through technical automation development Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required • Cloud and Citizenship Attestation required • Minimum 4 years of hands-on development experience with enterprise Microsoft tools • Minimum 2 years of experience with scripting and coding languages • Minimum 1 year of experience integrating and pulling data from third-party applications via APIs • 2-4 years of overall experience in software engineering or solutions architecture • Previous experience independently managing projects through the complete software development lifecycle • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, automation, and iterative solution enhancement • Development within enterprise tools including Entra Admin, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps), Teams, M365, Azure DevOps, Copilot Studio, and Graph Explorer • Integration and data extraction from third-party applications and APIs • Scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, and Visual Studio Code • Coding languages including C# and HTML • Database management and SQL • Problem-solving and analytical thinking with attention to detail • Verbal and written communication skills • Time management and ability to work independently • Full software development lifecycle knowledge • Troubleshooting and system optimization • Process improvement and iterative development methodologies Additional Details • Location: Remote • Duration: 4 months • Pay Range*: $46.50 - $53 per hr • Weekly Schedule: 40 hours • Job Status: Non-Exempt • Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
