Senior Secondary Marketing Manager (Product & Pricing Strategy)
The Senior Secondary Marketing Manager is a strategic owner of mortgage product, pricing, and secondary execution outcomes within a fully managed hedging environment. This role operates with broad autonomy and accountability, shaping how products are designed, priced, and delivered to the market while ensuring alignment between Sales, Third Party / Vendor partners, and Operations.
This position is not focused on day-to-day hedge trading, but rather on pricing governance, product architecture, investor strategy, and execution quality. The ideal candidate brings senior-level judgment, deep secondary experience, and the ability to translate market dynamics into actionable pricing and product decisions that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
Core Responsibilities
• Own enterprise-level product and pricing strategy, including margin management, rate sheet construction, and competitive positioning within our pricing platform
• Provide senior oversight of lock desk operations, ensuring pricing accuracy, policy adherence, and operational discipline
• Act as the executive liaison to the managed hedge provider, overseeing performance, reporting, and alignment with company objectives
• Lead investor strategy and loan sale execution, including best-execution review, product eligibility, and investor concentration management
• Drive product innovation and rollout, including new programs, guideline changes, and pricing enhancements
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership on pricing strategy, market conditions, and product positioning
• Establish and maintain controls, procedures, and documentation across secondary marketing workflows
• Analyze market trends, investor behavior, and production data to proactively adjust strategy
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and executive reporting related to secondary marketing activities
Experience & Requirements
• 5+ years of secondary marketing experience in a retail mortgage banking environment
• Demonstrated ownership of pricing, rate locks, loan sales, and product development
• Experience partnering with or overseeing a fully managed hedging firm
• Strong working knowledge of Encompass, Optimal Blue, and Excel
• Proven ability to design, implement, and improve cross-functional processes
• Experience operating with minimal oversight and executive-level accountability

Compensation Structure
• Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000
• Performance Bonus Target: Up to $20,000
• Total Compensation: $180,000
Total compensation is performance-based and tied to pricing execution, product performance, and overall secondary marketing effectiveness.
