Summary

We are seeking a Senior PHP Software Engineer to join our team and help design and build scalable, high-performance backend solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the development of complex software systems, working across multiple components and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

As a senior engineer, you bring deep hands-on expertise with PHP frameworks, solid architectural understanding, and a passion for clean, maintainable code. You will be a key contributor to technical decision-making, mentor fellow engineers, and help drive the strategic direction of our engineering practices.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 5+ years of experience building software applications.
• 3+ years of professional experience working with PHP in production environments.

Soft Skills

• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Open-minded and eager to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in PHP and modern frameworks such as Symfony and Laravel.
• Strong experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database management.
• Skilled in developing and integrating APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Strong understanding of unit testing and software quality assurance.
• Experience working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of application security best practices (OWASP, OAuth).
• Experience with performance optimization techniques, including caching and code optimization.
