Description
• Own and lead end-to-end delivery of high-stakes transfer-pricing engagements for Fortune 500 and fast-growing multinational groups, ensuring every study, report, and economic analysis meets Exactera’s exacting quality standards and is delivered on or ahead of schedule.
• Serve as the primary strategic advisor to C-suite tax directors, CFOs, and in-house TP teams on the design, implementation, and defense of global transfer-pricing policies that align with OECD Guidelines, U.S. IRC §482, and the rapidly evolving rules in Latin America, Europe, and APAC.
• Direct the preparation, review, and sign-off of master files, local files, CBCRs, and APA submissions, leveraging advanced databases (e.g., Orbis, Compustat, RoyaltyStat) and bespoke economic models to benchmark tangible goods, services, intangibles, and financial transactions.
• Manage and de-escalate transfer-pricing audits, MAPs, and competent-authority proceedings across multiple jurisdictions—crafting technical rebuttals, negotiating settlements, and coordinating with external counsel when litigation risk arises.
• Provide board-level guidance on complex cross-border restructurings, supply-chain migrations, IP migrations, and cost-sharing arrangements, quantifying tax-efficient structures while assessing BEPS 2.0 Pillar One and Pillar Two impacts.
• Supervise, mentor, and accelerate the growth of a multidisciplinary team of managers, seniors, and analysts located in New York, London, St. Petersburg FL, and Buenos Aires; conduct real-time coaching, quarterly performance reviews, and individualized development plans.
• Drive organic and new-logo revenue by identifying upsell opportunities within existing accounts and leading proposal development for RFPs valued up to USD 2 million, partnering closely with Exactera’s global BD and marketing teams.
• Maintain a real-time radar on global regulatory developments—whether it’s the latest Argentinean commodity-export safe harbor, the UK’s draft transfer-pricing documentation regulations, or the U.S. proposed services-cost-method changes—and translate these into actionable client alerts and internal playbooks.
• Spearhead internal knowledge-sharing sessions, lunch-and-learns, and technical webinars, raising the collective IQ of the practice while positioning Exactera as a thought leader in transfer pricing.
• Contribute to proprietary technology enhancements by feeding field insights into Exactera’s AI-powered benchmarking and workflow tools, ensuring the firm remains at the cutting edge of automation and data analytics.
• Foster a culture of psychological safety and high performance across remote and hybrid teams, using agile project-management rituals, clear RACI charts, and transparent KPI dashboards to keep everyone aligned and energized.
• Travel up to 20 % (post-pandemic) for client workshops, audit hearings, and internal leadership summits in the Americas and EMEA, always representing Exactera with professionalism and commercial acumen.
Requirements
• 10+ years of hands-on transfer-pricing experience in a Big 4, boutique TP firm, or multinational in-house tax department.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-jurisdictional engagements covering at least three of the following regions: North America, LATAM, EMEA, or APAC.
• Deep technical mastery of OECD Guidelines, U.S. IRC §482, and major local TP regulations; familiarity with BEPS 2.0 Pillar One & Two is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership track record—having supervised teams of 5+ professionals and directly influenced revenue growth or client retention.
• Exceptional project-management skills: ability to scope, budget, and deliver complex engagements on time while juggling competing priorities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication in English; fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable.
