Summary
Leads and manages Pretium’s procurement function. Develops and implements strategies,
builds high performing teams, oversees supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures compliance
with regulations, all while optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and operational efficiency. This role is increasingly strategic,
requiring strong leadership, negotiation skills, and the ability to align procurement with broader business objectives.
- Creates and implements strategic sourcing plans and strategies that align with the organization's
overall goals and objectives to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and maximize the value derived
from procurement activities.
- Manages the entire lifecycle of sourcing and procurement projects, from planning and bid preparation to
budget/forecasting, negotiation, invoicing and reporting.
- Leads and manages procurement teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance
management.
- Develop collaborative long-term partnerships with suppliers, contractors and outsourced service providers
to reduce TCO costs, and meet legislative requirements and achieve high quality outcomes.
- Identify appropriate department KPI’s and measure and monitor performance against these.
- Drive savings by developing and applying various strategies such as volume leverage, supplier
concentration, supplier segmentation and negotiating prices, payment terms, schedules and other terms and conditions as required.
- Collaborate with supply chain leadership and other key stakeholders on raw materials to optimize inventory
levels within agreed parameters and maintain accurate stock levels for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) purposes
- Analyzes raw material market trends, identifying potential risks within the value chain, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Works closely with other executive leaders to ensure strategies are aligned with overall business
objectives, such as cost reduction, revenue growth, and risk management.
- Explores and implements new technologies and processes to improve procurement efficiency, compliance and
effectiveness, including AI-powered sourcing and digital procurement platforms.
- Oversees the ethical and sustainable sourcing of goods and services, including environmental,
social, and governance (ESG) considerations. Drive ECOVADIS rating improvements and sustainable procurement practices.
- Ensures all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company
policies and best practice frameworks.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or other technical fields.
- MBA strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in supply chain leadership roles gained through increasingly responsible positions in procurement, sourcing, digital transformation etc. within the packaging or related manufacturing intensive industry.
- 5+ years in executive or senior director-level role. Private Equity experience preferred.
- Experience in multi-site manufacturing environments.
- Background in plastics, packaging, chemicals, or high-volume manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge in petrochemical value chain and demonstrated expertise in driving value related to raw materials (ex: Olefins, PET, PCR, Additives etc.)
- High level of understanding of strategic planning, financial statements, creating business plans, negotiating national vendor programs and ERP support systems
- Strong background in commodity-based sourcing environments preferred.

Travel Requirements
