What You Will Do as a Senior Business Analyst - Insurance
As a Senior Business Analyst - Insurance, you'll play a critical role in helping our clients solve complex business problems and develop innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with clients and technical resources to identify business problems and develop analytical solutions.
- Planning and designing simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications.
- Making recommendations to improve and support business activities.
- Gathering business requirements through work sessions, interviews, and other techniques, and analyzing and documenting client complex business requirements and processes.
- Creating complex test case scenarios and monitoring/overseeing the testing of business applications.
- Developing business requirements documents/user stories to support required modifications.
- Planning, allocating, and monitoring the work of other business analysts.
- Understanding simple to complex systems and related data to surface actionable insights.
- Assisting in providing time estimates for project-related tasks and updating process and procedural documentation.
- Developing a basic understanding of the technical development cycle of mobile applications or web portals.
- Supporting QA, UAT, and Release phases of the project via defect analysis, change maintenance, etc.
What We Need
To succeed as a Senior Business Analyst - Insurance at CoverGo, you'll need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance industry.
- A degree in Business, IT, or a relevant field.
- Previous experience working in Insurtech or health insurance is preferred.
- Health Insurance-related domain certification from INS/LOMA or III is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of business analysis concepts, including defining requirements, translating to technical solutions, and Agile approach to prioritizing work.
- Business analysis skills, including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.
- Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment.
- Basic knowledge of generating process documentation and documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Technical writing skills.
- Must be based in Canada and fluent in French.
