Seeking a dedicated collaborative script partner for a 146-page, faith-based coming-of-age sequel. The story is deeply rooted in HBCU culture and the African American experience in the year 2000.
The Vision:
The "heart" of this story and its faith-based perspective are non-negotiable. I am looking for a collaborator to work closely and directly with me to tighten dialogue and ensure perfect continuity without altering the core story or spiritual message. Goal: Tighten up pages of "fluff" to improve pacing for our August shoot. (If any)
Technical & Legal Requirements:
Final Draft Mastery: Must be proficient in Final Draft to maintain industry-standard formatting and "Revisions" mode.
NDA Required: Selected candidate must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before the full script is shared.
Collaborative Style: Willingness to work through revisions via shared documents or brief weekly syncs.
Cultural & Faith Competency:
Deep understanding of HBCU traditions, the Black church experience, and 2000s-slang. Lived experience is highly preferred.
As the film is in its pre-production phases, we require someone with a quick turnaround time to be finished in a month's time.
This will be a feature film with a significant volume of content AND is a continuation from our first feature film.
