We're seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to join our remote team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of K-12 students with diverse needs. As a remote SLP, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while delivering high-quality speech therapy services that enhance students' communication skills.
About the Position
This is a full-time, 37.5 hours/week virtual speech therapy position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $47-50, based on experience. As a 1099 contractor, you'll have the autonomy to manage your schedule while working with a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing student outcomes. Our ideal candidate is passionate about delivering evidence-based speech therapy services, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is committed to making a difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
- Virtual Speech Therapy Sessions: Deliver high-quality virtual speech therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to facilitate effective communication, and monitor student progress regularly to adjust therapy strategies as necessary.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure therapy goals align with students' educational plans, and attend IEP meetings to provide insights on students' communication goals and progress.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor student progress, adjust therapy strategies as necessary, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active SLP license in Michigan.
- Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and technology, including the ability to navigate digital platforms and tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
